The Field of Pure Awareness – A Non-Dualistic Experience of Reality
If consciousness were the foundational construct of reality then our ability to “keep” consciousness and sustain life in our bodies would not depend on biological factors such as how much water we drink, food we eat, and the toxicity of our environment. The fact that there are factors that exist within a sensitive range of life sustaining possibilities that dictate the connection of consciousness to our physical bodies (as in if we don’t eat, we die) shows that there is a higher intelligence directing the patterns and pathways through which consciousness emerges into the physical realm. The consciousness we possess while inhabiting our physical bodies is merely an emergent physical expression created by the collective consciousness and the field of pure awareness as a whole. As we are born into physicality, it is the emergence into body and our dualistic minds that separates us from the field of pure awareness, the deeper knowing of ourselves, and the remembrance of who we’ve been throughout our existence in time. When we die our bodies wither and our consciousness returns to the field, as does our sense of pure awareness no longer bound by the constraints of our physical mind. It is the challenge while existing in our physical bodies to find within our consciousness the pathway back to pure awareness without walking through the doorway of death, given, the process of returning to and from the unified field through birth and death erases our memory each time. If this were not the case, knowledge would be inborn and not contingent upon having to learn through experience. It is “illumination” to discover this path. Through the process of connecting to the unified field of awareness without experiencing death, we are fully made whole and reconnected to the source and our sense of true higher self.
Within the many translations of reality many paths and doorways have been discovered to reconnect our experience of personal consciousness to the unified field. The heart will gravitate to whichever translation or explanation of reality feels right. Through love and openness the choice will be made to explore a path that will lead towards greater freedom. Conversely, the choice to explore through fear will lead towards greater bondage, which simply indicates not being ready, not being open, or just not fully being. Both paths are equally valid as the choice, be it conscious or not, it is merely an expression of the field of pure awareness through our consciousness to choose being closed.
To inspire such a choice to explore higher consciousness, the mind must be open to the existence of higher consciousness and some sense of importance to conduct such an exploration. Though the children currently being born possess increasingly higher and higher consciousness, unless the openness has been inherited through the collective choices of our ancestors in our DNA, it’s not often something we are born with. Therefore, the path is a set of discoveries through which many paradigm shifts open our awareness to higher levels of knowing, feeling, and at the highest points, experiencing.
A Quick Glance at the Path
There are no requisites or contingencies to the path, meaning, you don’t need to know the concepts of Buddhism to experience what the Buddhist path talks about or seeks to achieve. The path can start with experience and progress towards learning to deepen the experience, or the path can be pure experience. The path does, however, progress from the conceptual framework of the mind to the experiential framework of the heart and higher consciousness. It is difficult to understand how to experience concepts because understanding through our mind is inherently conceptual. The path leads beyond conceptual understanding of what we know, to experiential participation with what is known and with what we have yet to discover. Releasing ourselves from the mentally interpreted and conceptually based limitations of reality through our mind provides a broader experience of our consciousness through the unified field. Given, our human minds have evolved to become dualistic and the unified field is but one field, it makes perfect sense to evolve away from the dualistic mind to experience the one reality. The path of our human experience is moving away from the mind if we so choose to illuminate ourselves. It is the inherent purpose born into every being to receive and experience this light.
Good night, and good light.
